Sheep in the Barn Door

Hi There!

One of my very first REAL quilts....
FINALLY finished - thanks to Gilbert and "Bertha", our Longarm machine!!!

July 1st, during our Yard Sale, I managed to put the final stitches on it's binding and yesterday morning, put the last stitches on it's label.... 'cause it ain't finished till you've sewn on that label, right?
*grin*

Gave this quilt away to my neighbour's son. He graduated LAST YEAR and I had promised myself that I would make him a quilt for his graduation.

Isn't it funny how you think time stands still for everyone else?!?!? I thought he was graduating THIS year, or the NEXT - till I asked his Mom and she said, "Oh no. Billy graduated LAST year and he's already completed his 1st year of university."

HOLY GUACAMOLE! WHERE DID THE TIME GO, EH!?!?!?

Well, actually, it's probably a good thing that I got mixed up. Billy, the recipient got a MUCH nicer quilt, now that "Bertha" came into our lives!
*grin*

This is what made me want to make this quilt, in the first place. I just LOVE these sheep!!!

Coincidentally, this is Gilbert's FIRST attempt at Longarming a REAL quilt!

*grin*

And here's the proof that I finished this quilt ....
label and all!

A UFO (Un-Finished Object) that's been on my list for possibly 4 years... I can finally scratch it off that darn list!

Oops! I knew as soon as I hit the button that Happy 4th wouldn't work for Canada. LOL

Hi Rosa, I see you do Long Arm quilting people? From the photos and your trip to Calais I am guessing you maybe live in Saint John? I have been enjoying your posts for the past several weeks, since I found your blog. Have a great weekend!
