Snow, anyone?!?!?

Hi There!

Remember I mentioned that
we were supposed to get some snow?
Well, here's a picture of our backyard,
taken from our kitchen door, yesterday morning.

Here's another picture, taken in the morning...
I believe around 10 a.m.

And here's a picture, taken around 3 p.m.

Around 6 p.m., I went outside and shoveled
our entrance, only.
Yep! it was still snowing!

What did I do, all day?!??!?

Well, as I had promised myself -
I SEWED!!!!

Machine quilted my
"Sparkling Jane" !!!

I took the quilt upstairs, later on in the evening,
and I've started hand quilting around the
hollies and the berries.
(pictures in another blog).

Right now, it's 9h45 a.m. and
our neighbour has cleaned up
(communal) driveway and entrance.

Gilbert and I will be shoveling
later on, today.

WOW! I would love to be there...we are back in the 70's, really boring weather! LOL!

I'm sure I would get tired of all the shoveling but I have this picture in my head of sitting by a cozy fire and drinking an Irish Coffee as it snowed outside.

And, of course, there would be "snow attendants" to shovel off a pathway if I should want to go outside!

And you are thinking "What has Elaine been drinking this early in the morning"?

LOL!

Hugs,

Elaine in SLO,CA

I'll take boring weather over snow any day of the week. We have had snow TWICE in the past two weeks here in Fort Worth. I'm beginning to think we didn't move far enough south! lol I'm from Wisconsin, but have lived in Texas for 25 years and just love it. Not only do I hate snow, but those horribly short winter days. Yuck! I used to really despise it when it would snow and the street lights would come on at 1pm and then wouldn't go off again all day. That NEVER happens in Texas! I'll take 72 and sunny any day of the week.

Happy New Year from sunny Texas,
Susan

PS Don't get me started about icy walkways; I HATE those with the passion of 10,000 suns! lol
