Halloween Quilt #2

Hi there!

Last year ... or was that the year before(??), I picked up these 2 cute Halloween panels, hoping to finish these off fairly quickly and then to pass them off to my 2 sisters.

Well... didn't happen.

Got busy with "other stuff", as I'm sure you can all relate to, then forgot about these 2 panels, until "Bertha" - our longarm machine, came into our lives.

Gilbert quilted these within the first month of Bertha's arrival. You can't see, but he used a spiderweb pantograph on this one. Sooooo cool... *VBG*

Well, since I was swamped with bindings, from all these UFO's that he's managed to longarm for me, I was a bit overwhelmed, to say the least!

I've FINALLY finished the binding on my sister Tina's Halloween quilt, this past week, and gave it to her, today!

My other sister, Sylvie, got hers at the beginning of August.

See? I TOLD YOU that I had lots of pictures and stories to tell you all!

It looks like you *have* been busy, plus I imagine there has been some quilt show quilt loose thread collecting/delinting and packing. (I swear my quilts have so many threads on them, I feel like vacuuming them!!!)I am sewing sleeves on the quilts today. I am on the second one, but I made the sleeves yesterday. I have decided it is the most boring thing related to quilting that I have done yet. Maybe we will cross paths sometime at the show. I am looking forward to seeing your Dear jane.

That's a really pretty panel. I can see the spiderweb quilting in it; Gordon is getting really good!

Happy binding,
Susan in Texas
